"EveryHour 1.1p" is an application that sits on your Power Mac's background, and it will chime the bell according to the hours when the time is at full and half hour. It works just like the old granfather clock! If you want twelve chimes or only one chime at 12 o'clock, you can adjust the number of chimes by selecting either of the two chiming settings: "According to time" or "Always Once." Since "EveryHour1.1p" is an application program, it will not cause any conflict like control panels do. So let "EveryHour" tell you the time and add some fun to your beloved Power Mac. This version of "EveryHour" is a PowerPC native application. If you own a 680x0 Macintosh, please download the 680x0 version of "EveryHour 1.1" or the fat binary version of "EveryHour 1.1f."
****** New Features ******
"EveryHour 1.1p" adds some new features that version 1.0p lacks:
1. Chime Now option: you can make "EveryHour 1.1p" chime the time right away without waiting for the next full or half hour. This option always chimes the number of full hour.
2. More Sound option: we add four more sounds to version 1.1p, so you can select the sound you like. We will add more cool sound in the next update version.
****** Installation ******
Since "EveryHour 1.1p" can work on background, hard disk is recommended although you can launch "EveryHour 1.1p" from a floppy disk.
There are 2 ways to put "EveryHour 1.1p" on your hard disk:
1. First, make an alias of "EveryHour 1.1p" (by selecting the icon and choosing Make Alias from Finder's File menu), then drag the alias of "EveryHour 1.1p" into your "Startup Items" folder (inside the System folder) or simply drag the original "EveryHour 1.1p" application into the "Startup Items" folder. They are the ways we recommend you to do, because "EveryHour 1.1p" will automatically launch and hide into the background everytime you boot up your Mac.
2. Put "EveryHour 1.1p" anywhere in your hard disk. When you want to use it, you simply double-click the icon just like you launch other applications.
****** Auto Quit ******
You don't have to quit "EveryHour 1.1p" before restarting or shuting down your Mac. "EveryHour 1.1p" will quit itself when you restart or shut down your Mac.
****** Change Chimes ******
You can change the number of chimes by selecting either of the two chiming settings:
1. By selecting "According to Time" item from the "Chime" menu, the number of bell sound that "EveryHour 1.1p" chimes will be the same as the time. For instance, when it is 12 o'clock, "EveryHour 1.1p" will chime the bell 12 times.
2. If you select "Always Once" menu item, no matter what full hour time it is, "EveryHour 1.1p" will only chime once. For instance, "EveryHour 1.1p" will chime the bell sound only once when it is 1, 5, or 10 o'clock.
Please remember that since "EveryHour 1.1p" is like the old-fashioned clock, it only chimes once when the clock is reaching the "half hour."
****** Memory Requirement ******
We have decreased the memory requirement of "EveryHour 1.1p" as low as possible, if you meet with any low memory problems, please increase the "Preferred Size" in the "Get Info" window 5K at a time.
Before your registration, the default "Preferred Size" is 130K (without Virtual Memory), and this is the lowest possible memory size for running "Unregistered" copy of "EveryHour 1.1p." After you enter the registration code, "EveryHour 1.1p" can run functionally with as low as 111K (without Virtual Memory).
### Please do not decrease the memory size before registration; otherwise, you may have problem launching "EveryHour 1.1p." ###

"EveryHour 1.1p" is distributed as SHAREWARE. This copy of "EveryHour 1.1p" does not have any function disabled, but if you like to keep using it, PLEASE register your copy of "EveryHour 1.1p." We work so hard, and we hope you can support us to keep writing more Mac programs.
Upon your registration, Dragonsoft will send you the registration code for "EveryHour 1.1p," then you can use the code to transform your shareware copy of "EveryHour 1.1p" to the registered version (without shareware notice and registration menu). It will be less disk space and use less memory.
